Guto Inocente To Make Octagon Debut Against Shane Del Rosario At UFC 168

Brazilian finisher Guto Inocente (6-2) will make his Octagon debut this December against fellow Strikeforce vet Shane del Rosario (11-2) at UFC 168.

UFC officials announced the booking on Friday.

UFC 168 takes place on December 28 at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena, and airs live on pay-per-view, with the preliminary card broadcasting on FOX Sports 1 and streaming on Facebook. The year-end card is headlined by a UFC middleweight title showdown between unbeaten champ Chris Weidman and ex-division kingpin Anderson Silva, as well as a women's bantamweight title rematch between rivals Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate

A member of Florida's Blackzilians team, Inocente will make his first UFC appearance on the momentum of a four-fight win streak. The 27-year-old last competed in May of 2012 under the Strikeforce banner where he earned a unanimous decision over Virgil Zwicker.

Del Rosario, meanwhile, will look to halt a two-fight losing skid after suffering consecutive knockouts to Stipe Miocic and Pat Barry. The former professional kickboxer has yet to find victory inside the Octagon thus far.
