'UFC On FUEL TV 8' Post-Fight Bonuses: Silva Earns $100K; Stann, Hunt Take Home $50K

Headliner Wanderlei Silva netted $100,00, while Brian Stann and Mark Hunt each earned an additional $50,000 in post-fight bonus money for their standout performances at Sunday's UFC on FUEL TV 8 event at Saitama, Japan's Saitama Super Arena.

Since no submission victory took place at UFC on FUEL TV 8, UFC officials handed down a pair of knockout bonuses, which were awarded to Silva and Hunt. Silva also shared "Fight of the Night" honors with fellow slugger Stann for their violent light heavyweight encounter.

Silva and Stann engaged in a vicious back-and-forth battle straight from the opening bell, which saw each fighter drop the other on numerous occasions. At the end of the second round, however, it was Silva who landed the final knockout blow, dropping his bloodied opponent flat on the canvas at the 4:09 mark. 

Hunt, meanwhile, notched his fourth consecutive victory under the UFC banner with a vicious walk-off knockout of Stefan Struve in the third round of their heavyweight affair. At the 1:44 mark of the final round, Hunt's vicious left hook sent his 7'0, 265-pound opponent crashing to the mat with a broken jaw that halted the bout.
