The 27-year-old confirmed to MMAJunkie.com late Tuesday that he failed his post-fight drug test following this month's UFC on FUEL TV 7 event in London.
Riddle earned a split decision over Che Mills at the aforementioned event, which took place on February 16 at London, England's Wembley Arena. Riddle's opponents Mills was also released by the UFC last week.
The Ultimate Fighter 7 alum also tested positive for marijuana following a submission victory over Chris Clements at July's UFC 149.
Riddle — who holds a medical marijuana license in his home state of Nevada — admitted earlier this month that he planned to quit using the banned substance three weeks prior to fight time in an effort to pass drug tests. UFC officials warned the fighter not to use marijuana at all, and it proved to be Riddle's figurative demise.
Having not tasted defeat in his last four appearance, Riddle holds notable career victories over the likes of DaMarques Johnson, Henry Martinez and John Maguire.
