'World Series Of Fighting 2' Targeted For Late January

With its inaugural event just one week away, the World Series of Fighting is working on the blueprint for a sophomore card.

"We're already discussing that," WSOF President Ray Sefo told CageReligion.com on Wednesday. "Obviously our team and NBC Sports are going to sit back after this first event and discuss the further shows. Already we're looking at the end of January for the second show. There are definitely concrete discussions on when the next show will be."

Sefo also added during a media conference call that the promotion plans to introduce titles during its third or fourth event.

In the meantime, World Series of Fighting 1 takes place on November 3 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, and is headlined by a heavyweight tilt between ex-UFC champ Andrei Arlovski and Strikeforce vet Devin Cole. In the co-main event, the resurging Anthony "Rumble" Johnson takes on Bellator alum D.J. Linderman.

Additional bouts include Miguel Torres vs. Marlon Moraes, Tyrone Spong vs. Travis Bartlett, Gregor Gracie vs. Tyson Steele and Gerald Harris vs. Josh Burkman.

The World Series of Fighting main card will air live on NBC Sports — formerly the Versus Network — with the prelims streaming on Sherdog.com.
