RFA Acquires Titan Fighting Championship And AXS TV Deal

Resurrection Fighting Alliance announced today that it has acquired the assets of Titan Fighting Championship. According to a press release on Saturday, the terms of the deal will include the acquisition of specific Titan FC fighter contracts, as well as its television deal with AXS TV, formerly known as HDNet.

Titan FC was founded by businessman Joe Kelly and has held 24 events, since making its debut on March 11, 2006. Based in Kansas City, Kansas, Titan FC has hosted shows in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

“I am very excited to be working with the guys at Resurrection Fighting Alliance. I really feel like this is a partnership with all the potential for success. We are very like-minded with similar goals. That made this an opportunity I could not pass on,” explained Kelly.

One of those “like-minded” individuals that Kelly will now be working with is Anderson Silva's manager Ed Soares, who joined the RFA in August. RFA was founded in 2011 and includes a number of other prominent businessmen, fight promoters, matchmakers, and individuals with successful careers in hosting MMA shows across the United States.

The next RFA event, RFA 4, is scheduled for Friday, November 2nd in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is headlined by a light-heavyweight tilt between veterans Gilbert Yvel and Marcio Cruz. In the co-main event, UFC vets Tyson Griffin and Efrain Escudero lock horns.

RFA 4 will broadcast live on AXS TV.
