Rich Franklin vs. Cung Le To Headline 'UFC On FUEL TV 6' In China

As expected, a middleweight clash between former champ Rich Franklin (29-6) and ex-Strikeforce titleholder Cung Le (8-2) will headline November's UFC on FUEL TV 6 card.


UFC President Dana White confirmed the bout late Saturday.


UFC on FUEL TV 6 takes place on November 10 at the Cotai Arena in Macau, China, marking the promotion's first venture into the country. The main card will air live on the FOX-owned cable network FUEL TV.


Franklin recently found success in his first Octagon appearance in nearly two years, earning a hard-fought unanimous decision over Wanderlei Silva at June's UFC 147. The former middleweight champ's return came one month early after filling in for an injured Vitor Belfort,  as he was originally scheduled to face Le at UFC 148 last month.


Le too found success in his most recent outing, notching a unanimous decision over Patrick Cote at UFC 148 which marked his first win under the UFC banner. The fight was the first of his career to reach the judges' scorecards.
