Jake Ellenberger vs. Josh Koscheck To Co-Headline UFC 151

A welterweight tilt between world-ranked standouts Jake Ellenberger (27-6) and Josh Koscheck (17-6) will serve as the co-main event for September's UFC 151.


UFC officials announced the match on Wednesday.


UFC 151 takes place on September 1 at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Events Center and is headlined by a light heavyweight title clash between reigning champ Jon Jones and ex-Pride and Strikeforce titleholder Dan Henderson. 


Ellenberger recently tasted defeat for the first time in over two years after suffering a knockout at the hands of Martin Kampmann last month. The loss snapped a six-fight win streak which included victories over Mike Pyle, Jake Shields and Diego Sanchez.


Koscheck too will look to get back on the winning track after coming up on the short end of a split decision to contender Johny Hendricks last May. Prior to the defeat, "Kos" notched back-to-back wins over Matt Hughes and Mike Pierce.
