UFC Heads To Nottingham, England On September 29

The UFC will head back to England this September, promotion officials confirmed on Monday.


The event — which will likely be UFC on FUEL TV 5 — takes place on September 29 at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England and will feature a bevy of the UK's top talent. Confirmed bout's for the card include London's Brad Pickett taking on fellow WEC veteran Yves Jabouin, while Sunderland's Andy Ogle meets Akira Corassani in lightweight action.

"We are very excited to be going to Nottingham for the first time," said UFC managing director of international business Marshall Zelaznik. "Some of the biggest names in British mixed martial arts are from Nottingham and the fans have been campaigning for us to bring a fight here for years.

"The UK fans are among the most passionate UFC supporters on Earth and this is going to be a special night."

The Ultimate Fighting Championship last visited the United Kingdom in November of 2011 for UFC 138 in Birmingham, which saw Mark Munoz defeat Chris Leben in the main event. 

Tickets for the Nottingham event go on sale on June 12.
